Meet John, Wine Ark’s head keeper of the bottles.

John Cuff leads Wine Ark, bringing more than 30 years’ experience in the wine industry and a healthy obsession with making wine storage feel far less mysterious than it needs to be.

After completing a Bachelor of Science at UNSW, John began his career managing fine wine retail stores in Sydney before working with industry legends including James Halliday and the late Len Evans. These days, John drives the Wine Ark brand across, strategy, storage sales, marketing, wine sales, customer experience and partnerships, which is a polite way of saying he has his fingerprints on almost everything.

Equal parts wine tragic, storyteller and problem solver, John is passionate about helping collectors protect, enjoy and occasionally rehome their bottles with confidence, while ensuring Wine Ark continues to set the standard for premium wine storage in Australia.

In the wine world, provenance means knowing exactly where a wine has come from and how it’s been stored. A detail that can make or break its value. Wine Ark has been verifying the provenance of aged wine since 1999. Through the Provenance Program, our customers can trade wine confidently knowing the storage history of each bottle, and the value they hold.

Wines carrying the Wine Ark Provenance stamp have fully authenticated storage histories, either having been kept in Wine Ark cellars since release or verified through trusted, temperature‑controlled supply chains.
