Wine Ark – Sponsor of the Wine Peloton 7 Peaks Alpine Ascent Challenge

Wine Ark is proud to announce their top Platinum Partnership of the Wine Peloton 7 Peaks Alpine Ascent Challenge to raise funds to address teen alcohol abuse.

A group of wine community cyclists (including Wine Arks John Cuff) will attempt Victoria’s 7 Peaks Alpine Ascent Challenge between 30th November and 6th December 2014 to raise funds to address the harmful use of alcohol among Australian teens.

Victoria’s 7 Peaks Alpine Ascent Challenge is considered the toughest non-competitive cycling challenge in Australia. The team will ride nearly 600km in seven consecutive days, including climbs over 20km long and Australia’s only Hors Categorie climb, to raise money for the Teen Rescue Foundation.

The Teen Rescue Foundation has been recently been established by wine writer Tyson Stelzer as a charitable organisation to actively discourage and reduce harmful alcohol use and its consequences among teens. The foundation provides financial support for Australian organisations which offer front-line initiatives in situations in which teens do or could consume alcohol, as well as organisations which offer education for teens and their families relating to the dangers of teen alcohol consumption.
